I spent much of Wednesday looking for my choice for product #2 for at the SHOT Show. I was in the dungeon (the massive underground parking garage, converted to booths) and while 3 rows away, I heard a beautiful goose call. Now I know I am not a goose call aficionado, but as a singer I do know crystal clear sounds when I hear them. This was clear and had a beautiful tone, very crisp. My son Tony who IS a call aficionado heard it as well and so we went over.
This tiny booth tucked in the middle of the sea of booths was wowing the crowd! Other folks heard it also. Tony and I started to take a look at the calls in the booth and could instantly see the difference in the quality. Tony picked up the Simple Man call (probably because it is one of our favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd songs) and boy is it pretty! It was all sleek and blue. It comes in several other colors as well.

We asked the guys in the booth to demonstrate this call and Rob Erwin the owner and creator of this call began to sing a tune with it. While we were there we looked at the other calls and I asked Rob which one he liked to “play” the best. We joked that he was playing the call but in reality that what he was doing. He held it and made it sing.
Tony fell in love…he is a fantastic goose hunter and could see how well this beautiful call could help. Rob explained that this call is a great mid-season call and graciously allowed Tony to try it.
They have another brand new really cool call called the Cole Train, named for Cole Barthel Pro Baseball player and Southern Game Calls Pro-Staffer. Cole was there to help explain his call and was such a nice man to help us out.
