Brownells is proud to announce it is the presenting sponsor of Outdoor Channel’s new show, The Gunfather, debuting Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 8PM and 11:30PM (ET).

The Gunfather follows Lou Tuminaro, his wife Theresa, father Joe, and his three children who moved from New York City to Hamilton, Montana, to open The Custom Shop LLC –a vintage firearm restoration and sales business. A longtime businessman and gun restoration expert, Tuminaro travels the country finding rare and collectible firearms, brings them back to his shop for restoration and sells them to customers worldwide.

Dubbed a blend of American PickersOrange County Choppers and American Restoration, viewers will be entertained by Tuminaro’s city-inspired, take-no-prisoners attitude when closing deals. Conversely, the nurturing, fun-loving family man is apparent when Lou interacts with his father, wife and children.

“We are excited to have Brownells as the presenting sponsor of ‘The Gunfather’ on Outdoor Channel. The world’s largest supplier of firearms accessories and gunsmithing tools, Brownells is the ideal partner for our show, which is focused on a family-run firearms sales and restoration business,” said Louie Tuminaro.

“What happens when a New Yorker opens a gun business in Montana? Brownells wants everyone to know,” said Pete Brownell, CEO of Brownells. “Like my family, Lou has combined his passion for family and firearms; we think ‘The Gunfather’ is a great story and will be a great show. We’re very excited to work with Outdoor Channel and the Tuminaro family to help bring their unique story to anyone who appreciates the American Dream.”

In addition to its Wednesday prime-time and late-night airings, The Gunfather will air Thursdays at 11:30AM, Fridays at 3:30AM, Saturdays at 8AM and 2:30PM, Sundays at 6AM, Tuesdays at 8:30AM, plus Wednesdays at 1:30AM and 4:30AM.

About The Gunfather

The Gunfather, a reality-based TV series airing on Outdoor Channel, takes viewers into the life of Lou Tuminaro, a native New Yorker turned Hamilton, Montana transplant. Lou is the owner of The Custom Shop – a family-run firearms sales and restoration business. Tuminaro’s dream was always to open the greatest gun shop in the west, so he sold everything and moved his family across the country to make his dream a reality. Tuminaro is a no-nonsense negotiator who flaunts his knowledge of guns, Brooklyn attitude, and Vin Diesel appearance to cut the best deal possible every time – and drives his team of family and friends at The Custom Shop to restore each magnificent piece to perfection. Theresa Tuminaro, Lou’s wife and business manager, a tough Bronx-breed buxom beauty who is always dressed to the occasion, handles day-to-day operations in Lou’s absence; and, true to her Italian-American upbringing, has a well-earned nickname of “T-Bone.” Joining Lou and Theresa is Lou’s dad, Pops, a lovable and active senior whose work can never quite match up to Lou’s expectations.
