EXETER, NH – For more than 20 years, the SIG SAUER® P226® has been the sidearm of choice for the world’s elite military forces, including the United States Navy. The battle-proven P226® pistol platform has proven itself to be an uncompromising, combat-ready pistol, clearly demonstrating that when it counts, SIG SAUER® is there.
And, for the first time, the United States Navy has granted SIG SAUER® permission to sell the new contract pistol, designated the MK25, to the general public.

The commercially available MK25 is identical to the firearm SIG SAUER® delivers under contract to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). Built to the Navy’s demanding standards, the MK25 comes chambered in 9mm, with a phosphate finish applied to all internal components, providing corrosion resistance in even the harshest of saltwater environments.

The engraved gold anchor on the pistol’s slide hints at its military origin, while the UID code on the right side serves as a genuine badge of authenticity. The true mil-spec 1913 rail is machined into the hardcoat anodized alloy frame, providing a solid mounting point for lights, lasers and accessories.

A reliable double-action/single-action trigger and two-piece polymer grips are included in the NSWC-specification package. SIGLITE® night sights, three magazines, and a card certifying authenticity come standard in the case.

The only other way to obtain an authentic MK25 pistol would require a Naval enlistment and training with elite forces.

Own a piece of American military history with the purchase of a SIG SAUER® MK25 pistol.

Via: Rocky Mountain Gun Owners:

Nice work. Constitutional Carry — HB1205 — passed out of its committee yesterday and moved to the House Floor thanks to your calls and e-mails.

State Rep. Chris Holbert (R-Parker) — who is a long-time RMGO member and activist — did a fantastic job of presenting the bill and framing the debate when presenting it to the House Judiciary Committee.

Rep. Holbert told the committee that open carry in public areas is legal in most parts of Colorado and requires no permit, no fees, no training and no lists, but the second you cover the handgun with a coat or sweater you are required to obtain a permit.

In essence, he said, it’s a Coat Tax. Put your coat on, and you have to pay the tax. His bill would make that a voluntary tax, since there would be no need to pay the tax (acquire a permit) if HB1205 becomes law.

RMGO Executive Director Dudley Brown then testified to the growing movement of states allowing permitless carry, and the many more which are considering passing just such a law. In Vermont, Alaska and now Arizona, there has been no increase in crime.

Both of those messages resonated with members of the committee, and the bill passed with the votes of every Republican and even two Democrats.

This is just one more great example of how effective your voice really is.

Now the work gets tougher. The bill is headed for the House floor, where we really have to turn up the heat. If you and I want Constitutional Carry in Colorado, we must make politicians feel the heat with our phone calls and e-mails.

The House Co-sponsors on HB1205 are:

Acree, Balmer, Barker, Baumgardner, Becker, Bradford, Brown, Conti, DelGrosso, Holbert, Joshi, Kerr J., Looper, Massey, McKinley, McNulty, Murray, Nikkel, Priola, Scott, Sonnenberg, Stephens, Summers, Swerdfeger, Vaad, Waller.

In addition, Reps. Bob Gardner, Daniel Kagan and Pete Lee have now voted for this bill in Committee.

If you don’t see your State Representative on either of these lists, they have not yet co-sponsored this bill or voted in favor of it yet. It is imperative that you take just a few minutes to do this simple two-step process before the House floor vote.

If they are on this list, take a moment to contact them and tell them to keep up the good work and continue to support this important bill.

1) Click on this link to find your State Representative if you don’t already know.

2) Call your Representative. The phone number for all State Representatives is 303-866-2904 or toll free at 1-800-811-7647.

Tell them you stand with Rocky Mountain Gun Owners.

Tell them it is vital they support Constitutional Carry in Colorado without further amendments.

And tell them you are watching their vote carefully and counting on their support.

Again, you can reach all State Representatives by calling 303-866-2904 or toll free at 1-800-811-7647 and they’ll connect you to your State Representative.

Constitutional Carry in Colorado depends on your involvement.

Please join us in the push to get this bill past the House.

1. ANYTHING from Prois Hunting Apparel! This company has FAR surpassed the competition in comfort, wearability, and practicality for the huntress. I have never worn a better hunting apparel product and I now exclusively wear Prois when I am in the field. My favorite pieces this year are the Sherpa Reversible Vest the Prois Pro-Edition Jacket and the Prois Ultra Fitted Pants. Each piece comes in the most popular Realtree patterns and are made in the USA. Have your huntress be warm, comfortable and of course look great in the field!

Prois Pro-Edition Jacket

2. Alpen Optics Binoculars. I love Alpen Optics Pink Binos because I can find them easily, my men don’t grab them quite so often, and Alpen Optics makes an annual donation to breast cancer research with their sales of pink binoculars. I have put these binoculars up against more expensive pairs and have found them crystal clear and very comparable. I really enjoy using them and find they fit my face easily and comfortably, which is something I usually have a hard time with. A great company and great gear. Check out the Alpen Pink 263P 8×25 compact and the Alpen Pink 393P 10×42 full-size binoculars.

3. Darton Archery DS-3800SD Compound bow. This year finally shot my first buck with a bow and my Darton DS-3800SD bow was the bow I used. What a GREAT bow! The power and speed rivals that of a larger bow but with a shorter draw length for my shorter arms. During practice, I shot against the fellas at my range and all of them were very impressed! I carried it up into a tree stand and also to church…refer to http://skinnymoose.com/annevinnola/2010/10/22/mama-shoots-a-big-buck-at-church/ for that story! The DS-3800SD is the perfect bow for your lady!

4. With my Darton bow, I used Victory Archery‘s V-force 400 arrows I was confident in each shot I practiced with and then again when I shot my deer. They are attractive arrows but much more importantly, they are deadly. Every shot should start and end with Victory!

5. My all time favorite hunting boots are my Pronghorn GTX boots by Danner Boots. One of the criteria I measure boots with when working on my reviews is that they are comfortable straight from the box and the Pronghorn GTX boots are like slipping comfy slippers on to traipse around the mountains! I wear them hiking in the summer as well as in the fall during pronghorn, deer elk and while upland bird hunting. I never have a problem with cold feet or blisters even on really cold mornings. THESE are the boots to get your gal!

Danner Pronghorn GTX

6. Camp Chef …WOW! There is no product in their lineup that I have not really enjoyed using! My favorite products so far are the dutch ovens. I have used both the Standard 10″ and the Standard 14″ models and these by far out work any dutch ovens I have ever used! Camp Chef has so many clever products for the sportswoman that there are too many to name in this space. check out Camp Chef for yourself you will NOT be disappointed!

7. I found this book earlier this year and love it!! Gut It Cut iIt Cook It -The Deer Hunters Guide to Processing and Preparing Venison by Eric Fromm and Al Cambronne. Excellent full color detailed photos and well done text walks the hunter through the entire process of taking care of your venison (and any game meat) from kill all the way to the table. This book features very detailed descriptions of every thing you need to know from shot placement, to field care to finally taking care of your trophy antlers and cape. Grab this book and you will learn a lit whether you have been hunting for many years or just a few seasons! Published by Krause Publications found on Amazon.com and at GutItCutItCookIt.com

8. SigSauer P-238. I am a big proponent of women learning to protect themselves and one of the pistols I enjoy shooting and carrying is my P-238. It is lightweight, easy to handle and packs quite a punch. Sig Sauer has a solid reputation for awesome products and I recommend many of their guns. I like that this pistol fits in my waistband holster for easy concealment. It fires smoothly and has all of the features I consider important for personal safety.

HUSBAND-WIFE FIRST COUPLE EVER IN HALL OF FAME!

SOUTHERN COLORADO: 5th degree black belt Master Shirley Bendell of Florence, Colorado was shocked and surprised at a banquet at the Pueblo Shrine Club Hall at Pueblo West, Colorado when she was inducted into the International Karate and Kickboxing Hall of Fame, joining her husband Grandmaster Don Bendell, a 1995 inductee, to become the first husband and wife ever to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Former World Champion and 1988 inductee Grandmaster Bob Chaney flew in from Temecula, California to make the surprise induction. Public about being a former victim of gang and acquaintance rape, Master Bendell was cited for her renowned Sexual Assault Prevention clinics for women and girls which have saved many females from rape and domestic assault; her innovative Mini-Ninja program for 3, 4, and 5 year olds which was the first of its kind in southern Colorado and is now copied by every major school in the state; and it was brought out that Master Shirley Bendell when competing in tournament competition not only won first place every time she fought, she has never had one single point scored against her by another woman in sparring competition.
With tears flowing before the audience of several hundred, Master Bendell was first surprised with a “This is Your Life- Shirley Bendell” ceremony with one of her 2 Green Beret sons on his way to Afghanistan walking out in his dress greens, as well as her oldest son and his family, her 2 best friends from high school in Youngstown, Ohio in the late sixties, and other family members and friends who flew in from all over the country. Messages of congratulations were read from friends Bo Derek, H. Ross Perot, and other celebrities.
A grandmother of 7, mother of 3, and step-mother of 3; Master Bendell owns and operates Bendell Karate in Pueblo West and Canon City with her husband and is a 5th degree black belt master instructor in Song Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do, Freestyle Karate, Shita Jujitsu, and Judo. Shirley has a Bachelors degree in film and television from Colorado State University-Pueblo and is working on her Masters degree in Business Leadership at Grand Canyon University along with Don. Don is an author, editorialist, and public speaker.

Whether practicing for trap and skeet events in 4-H or hunting protecting my family’s eyes is important to me and I have found the best products to do so, Revision eyewear.

We are currently using two models from the award winning Revision line, the Hellfly Ballistic sunglasses and the Sawfly Deluxe Shooters Kit and are extremely pleased with both the look and especially the performance each of these shooting glasses provides. Revision eyewear provides optically correct vision with no astigmatism in the lens to distort your vision while looking in any direction.

The Hellfly model is sleek and stylish with adjustable nose pieces that ensure a comfortable fit, but what sets these apart from other shooting glasses is the safety performance. The Hellfly sunglasses exceed all U.S. military eyewear ballistic impact resistance requirements.

The Hellfly sunglasses feature 2mm thick optical grade polycarbonate for vision clarity, 100% UV protection from A, B, C ultra violet rays and a wrap around design for comfort and full protection.

The Sawfly is a premier shooting system that also exceeds military standards and during testing, showed no penetration when fired at from a distance of 32.8 feet with a .12 gauge loaded with Federal heavy load, 1¼ ounce #6 lead shot. The Sawfly features several lightweight lens colors for different lighting situations, 100% UV, A, B, C protection, adjustable arm length, scratch resistant coating on both sides of each lens and also optional prescription vision correction.

Revision has a great customer service team and works hard to meet and exceed all military standards for eye protection.

I highly recommend Revision Eyewear for all of your shooting needs!
