I was blown away, like you, when I first read the article. To me, it's just another example of incredibly sloppy journalism and lazy reporters who just spew forth drivel from press releases--with no background checking or digging on their own. If this guy would'a done the least bit of research, he could see that more mountain lions are being killed annually in California by state and federal agents than hunters used to take prior to the ban.
