I'm a vet tech who works in Lewiston, when we heard about this we all laughed. Some of the articles posted made a big deal out of an "extra claw" on its foot... which was clearly a dew claw. This "beast" is a chow or chow mix either in an early form of decomposition or with a slight congenital disorder.

Way to go Maine!

I suggest that the Beast and others even more frightening have escaped from Stephen Kings imagination and are now roaming the Wilds of Maine. Just a thought...

DNA tests have removed the veil of mystery from a creature that created a media and internet sensation. It was just a dog - 100 percent dog, according to the Sun Journal of Lewiston, Maine.

The newspaper ordered tests to end the speculation by readers who thought the creature may have been a Tasmanian devil, a dingo, a wolf or coyote. Some of the more outlandish theories involve mutations and extraterrestrials.

Well you didnt have to erase my stuff. lol Now it looks like your talking to yourself. I dont see anything wrong with having a sense of humor, and if you did not like what I had to say you could have just sent me a little email.

I am actualy wanting to move to Maine, I have for years. I feel like this site feel into my hands as a sign. I have been saving for the move but just kind of feel weird leaving all my family behind for the fresh start.
