I just wanted to let people know that we will be adding to our template at the very top (in the middle) a place for people to advertise using their banners. We will provide a link from your banner back to your website.
We have been waiting to do this for a while but we feel now is a good time to start. This will be a win/win situation for everybody and we look forward to getting this up and rolling.
We will only allow banners that are 468×60 to be placed. The reason being is we have to “tweak” the template in order to fit the banners and make it look halfway decent. So we can’t have different size images. 468×60 is a standard size used often in online marketing and advertising. Plus they are large enough so people can see them and will fit nicely in our template. Here is an example of the exact size:
How it will work is basically all banners will take turns appearing at the top of the page. When you open a new page another banner will randomly be chosen to appear. So if any of you are interested in starting to advertise with us next week please send us an email at ads@blackbearblog.com.
Rates:
We will be running the ads on a monthly basis. We were going to do them weekly and monthly but decided that we will start with monthly packages and if sometime down the road we feel we need to switch to weekly then we can always add that in.
The way it works is the more time you get, the cheaper it gets per month. We accept PayPal payments, Checks, or Money Order at this time.
1 month: $25
6 months: $120
12 months:$220

All proceeds go towards hosting costs, and continuing to make the Black Bear Blog a great resource for hunters and fishermen all across North America.
