Wildlife officials in Alaska attempted to tranquilize a moose as part of a study. The moose would have nothing to do with it and decided not to cooperate. Instead it attacked the helicopter being used for the study.
I can relate to that poor moose believe it or not. About two years ago, during a bout with my bad back, I ended up the emergency room at the hospital. As it turned out, whatever doctors were giving me for pain killers, I was allergic to. Nothing they could find would stop my uncontrolled vomiting, so they decided to knock me out. I would have nothing to do with and refused to go under. They administered the drug and I never went to sleep. The doctors were shocked. The same as these biologists were shocked that the moose didn’t go down after being drugged.
Fortunately for me, my story ends differently than that of the moose. The moose attacked the helicopter, injuring both the chopper and himself. He had to be put down. I, on the other hand, as much as I wanted to attack the doctors, nurses and any machinery in my path, I opted not to and did not have to be put down.
