I have poured over every comment on this board. I don’t know if what you did is right or wrong, but let me just say this. I am on this list. I have also been a victim of a violent abuser. At the urging of a friend, and from an advcate, I went through background checks, was fingerprinted, and bought a gun. I also moved to Roanoke to flee my abuser. Yesterday I heard about this list being published, but the depth of what had happened did not hit me until I found out that my real name, not the nickname I go by, was published along with my address. My abuser knows that I live in this area, but not my exact address. I feel like I had taken 2 steps forward in my life, but now you have moved me back.
All my abuser has to do is look at your list. I am writing this with tears in my eyes. I do not know what will happen. Why did you have to post my name and address? I don’t care that I have a gun. My new life is what has been ruined by your article. I hope you can live with yourself.
