The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission will meet in Casper, Wyoming today. At that meeting, the Department of Game and Fish will present to the commission a draft mule deer management plan aimed at bolstering a sagging mule deer population. According to the Billings Gazette, the plan will focus on critical aspects of mule deer management.

Those aspects include improved habitat management practices, predation, population management for both people and mule deer, funding and support, outreach and education, research, and public involvement.

Once the draft management plan is made public, we can examine it and take a closer look at more specific details.
