Do We Really Want To Believe Al Gore And Other Global Warming Nuts?

Um, no matter what the backstory is… the climate, she is a-changin’. Global warming? I don’t know what it should be called… but things are different now than 40 years ago.

So, just in case, maybe we could choose a little less pollution in our cars, turn our thermostats down a teensy bit and remind people like Al Gore that ‘buying’ offset credits doesn’t do anything but make him FEEL better.

Or so sez me.

Things are different than they were 400 years ago, too. And 4000 years ago. And 40,000 years ago. That’s the point that Al doesn’t get, I guess.

Oh – he also owns a company that – guess what? Buys and sells carbon credits…. imagine that lol

There’s scientific proof of past global warming. Glacial melts and polar ice cap shifts. Makes me wonder what business ventures Al has his proverbial thumb in that will benefit from his global warming pitch?

Thank goodness he gave us the internet. Now we can blog his sanity and political ideology.

I think, like everything else, global warming, or the lack of global warming, or whatever you wish to call it has become less of a climate issue and more of a political issue.

I’d like to know the facts, without all the political yammering from either side. I’m not sure, in today’s world, how one goes about getting unbiased facts, but they would be helpful.

Perhaps the best you can do is to take a look around and then talk to your parents etc. Are there truly differences in the weather today than say 10, 15, 20, 50, 100 years ago? There are always changes but what does that tell us? It tells us there are always changes.
Does this mean that global warming is a complete myth? Call it what you want.
There are still weather phenomena and records unbroken from nearly a century ago. What does that mean?
We need to be good stewards of what God has entrusted us with but to go to the extremes that some have on this issue is irresponsible, I think.
