By now must of us know that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney made a bad decision when he told voters he had been a lifelong hunter and supported the Second Amendment. The truth, at least as far as can be told, was he hunted twice in his life, once at age 15 and again last year with a group of governors in Georgia. His claim was he hunted small game, nothing big.

Back peddling and searching for excuses, Romney tried to bail himself out unsuccessfully. Last night in Dallas at a speech, Romney tried to deflect attention away from his error by laughing about it and showing the audience his mounted trophy.
