		<description>My main quarrel with this whole thing is the idea that banning guns would have changed the outcome.  The shooter was able to break the law that makes murder a crime with no qualms at all, so I don&#039;t imagine he would have stumbled too much over a law that made owning a gun illegal.  

As usual, people are focusing on the wrong part of the problem in an effort to make an uncontrollable event controllable.  If the problem is a gun, then we can solve the problem by banning the gun.  If the problem is a crazy person, who happened to use the gun, then the situation can&#039;t be easily prevented and can&#039;t be controlled.  It&#039;s easier to blame things on the gun. 

As I said when I wrote about this myself, a gun is a tool.  Don&#039;t blame the tool, blame the person who used it.</description>
