In West Virginia there is an interesting case before the state Supreme Court. Ritchie County, West Virginia bans Sunday hunting, even on private land. The Hartley Hill Hunt Club, which leases 2,000 acres of private land for hunting sits in Ritchie County. They are suing to get that ruling declared unconstitutional. This could prove interesting.

Despite what you may say regarding the issue of available land to hunt in West Virginia, a measley 1.3 million acres compared to the fourteen million acres that could be opened to the public, cannot support the thousands of hunters that can cover that 1.3 million acres.

It’s an outright disgrace that the large corporations after bilking TRILLIONS$$$$ from the harvesting of West Virginia’s hardwood trees has the audacity and gall to ask for money from hunters who have hunted these grounds for centuries without even as much as a thought of such a disgraceful act.

As far as I’m concerned the large corporations have no power over where and when I can hunt, and I would’nt give them a red cent for land that belongs to the people, that is ingrained into the heritage of hunting that is rightfully mine to begin with!!!!!
