I just wanted to toss up this video I shot last fall in Albany, Maine not too far from our hunting camp. I won’t reveal the name of the mountain – super secret site of monster bucks you know – but I will say that it is a long uphill walk to get to the top. Great hunting all around but to the south and west the views are quite spectacular.

We had a great year, relatively speaking. Deer seem to be moving back into this area. Several years ago much of what you can see to the south and what you can’t see behind the picture or to the east, was stripped of timber. That was nearly 30 years ago. The moose have pretty much cleared out now and more normal wildlife activity seems to have taken over again, including more deer. We are grateful.
