Discovering that officials in New Jersey just don’t have the equipment and training to eradicate a pack of problem coyotes from the Middletown, New Jersey area adjacent to the Earle Naval Weapons Station, they are calling in backups and recruiting hi-tech equipment.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture will provide the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection with night vision glasses and sharpshooters trained to use them. A pack of coyotes has all but kept this area hostage after having attacked two kids and several pets. Officials have had very little success in catching any of the animals, discovering what thousands of hunters and trappers have known for years, that it’s extremely difficult to trap and hunt them.
We’ll see how successful these night hunters will be in getting the coyotes out of there. I wonder why the animal rights groups aren’t making a stink about killing these poor innocent little creatures?
Man, I’m cynical this morning!
