Molly, a 4 or 5 year-old black lab was in a boat with her owner, Doug Harmon and another passenger on Chamberlain Lake in the Allagash region on Northern Maine, when the boat capsized in high winds. The two men drowned and Molly was last seen swimming toward shore.
In what is estimated to be over 200 miles and several sightings later, Molly lands on the door step of a family in Millinocket. Bangor Daily News has the complete sad and happy story.
