Where U.S. Hunting Today and Skinny Moose Media chief photographer, Milt Inman, lives on Hick’s Pond in Greenwood, Maine, it is really a great wildlife mecca as many of the photos he gathers come from right outside is front door.

Below are two photos he captured just the other day of a good-sized bull moose growing a fresh set of antlers. This is what Milt had to say about the moose.

I was told that a Bull Moose will grow antlers at the rate of 1–1 and 1/2 inches per day and it takes about 150 days to grow a full rack. If this is true he will be a trophy Bull Moose by hunting season this fall!!!!

Milt said the moose had tried to cross the road but a car came along and so he retreated, crossed the pond and headed for Patch Mountain.
