Rulon Jones, former NFL star of the Denver Broncos, has been granted a special use permit by the Bingham County Planning and Zoning Commission to add a 60-acre holding pen for his domestic cow and calf elk. This is separate from his 2,000-acre elk hunting ranch in which he has already been granted permits to operate.
There were some concerns over contamination of Cedar Creek from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. The creek runs through a section of the acreage but Jones said he would not include the creek in the pen therefore eliminating any possible contamination of the water.
