I’ve been following somewhat the episodes at Red’s Trading Post in Idaho where the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, shut them down about 2 years ago because an audit showed Red’s had .4% clerical errors. The law says that the BATFE is supposed to be able to prove “willful” disregard for the law in these acts.

Ryan Horsley, Manager of Red’s, has been waging a war against BATFE at a cost of over $90,000, which doesn’t include lost business, as a result.

Back in May, U.S. District Judge Edward Lodge found that the feds had wrongfully shut Red’s down and overturned the ruling that allowed Red’s to conduct business.

Horsley is now saying the BATFE has reneged on an agreement they had to resolve this issue and has moved ahead with another injunction to shut them down. This entire episode and others across this country make you wonder if anyone is control of the BATFE.

Read about Red’s dilemmas with the BATFE at their blog site. This story is really beginning to get some much needed national attention. Your help and attention would be appreciated as well.
