A Montana bow hunter in an area near Yellowstone National Park, was attacked by a mother grizzly bear traveling with her two cubs. Dustin Flack of Belgrade, who was hunting elk and was in the process of calling elk, spotted the bear and cubs and tried to seek refuge up a small tree. The bear pulled him from the tree. When he hit the ground, he hit the fetal position and remained motionless. The bear sniffed him about and departed, probably saving his life or at least from more serious injury. He suffered injuries to his right foot and calf muscle and is being treated at Livingston Memorial Hospital.
