Taking no prisoners, Doyle Dietz, Outdoor Editor for the Republican Herald rips into the Unified Sportsmen of Pennsylvania calling their tactics intimidating, hair-brained and the group a bunch of malcontents.

Now, as for these sportsmen, they are a faction to worry about because they shoot, hunt and dress just like level-headed, open-minded outdoorsmen. Fortunately, they deceive no one by their appearance because they expose themselves by their heavy-handed and intimidating actions.

Leading the malcontents is the Unified Sportsmen of Pennsylvania, whose latest grandstand ploy in an attempt to undermine the Pennsylvania Game Commission occurred earlier this month when its leadership petitioned the Commonwealth Court to halt all antlerless hunting on State Game Lands and State Forest Lands. Thank goodness the courts took the organization’s hair-brained request no more seriously than level-thinking sportsmen take most of its other actions.
