GraphAccording to a recent CNN poll, nearly two-thirds of Americans think the Second Amendment is meant to give individuals the right to own guns. Most of you know how I feel about polls but I can always have fun with them. You see polls are about as good as the form of a question and the feelings of the person being polled at that moment in time.

So let’s play with these poll results for a moment so I can get myself into trouble and say something ridiculous.

This poll says that almost three-quarters of all men believe the Second Amendment gives them the right to own a gun while only 58 percent of women felt that way. Hold onto this statistic for a minute.

Also shown in this poll is that 73 percent of people living in rural America think they have a constitutional right while only about half of those living in the city.

This leads me to a couple of questions that are sure to get me into trouble. It is proven time and again that it is more dangerous to live in the city. If that is true, then why aren’t the majority of city dwellers looking for a gun to protect themselves? What is this saying about the mental capacity of city people? (I’m getting myself into trouble here. LOL)

I’ve changed my mind and I don’t think I’ll touch the one about men vs. women.

Have a good day.
