Eh, it must just be me then. I wouldn't worry about trying to figure out why-- thats my job (both theoretically by my browser use and practically as an IT person by trade)

Knowing what you did say though I can take a look at the page code and see why it would not load for me. If it is anything that might be something someone else can use I will post it back; if it is some problem with a plugin I made I'll probably just keep that little failure to myself :)

Thanks for responding to that (and so quick!)

Ryan - I don't know why you would have to do that, really. I did as I always do and pasted the embed code from YouTube there. I am able to view it with a FF browser.

My son uses FF and he was able to view it. If I find an answer to your question. I'll post it here.

Thanks for the heads up!

Opera isn't really any better, it is just more obscure-- which results in less people looking for exploits. I say that having seen the source (code) for both, so I mean no offense Reginold.

Reading this post though really made me think-- why did I have to switch to the IE engine to open the campaign videos that were linked to from the site? The ones for that Idaho senate candidate Rex something or other. That was the first time I had to open up a IE tab for anything in months.

Try Opera. It is better than firefox and more secure.
http://www.opera.com/

Also download the Mcafee Siteadvisor. It will warn if site is known to place viruses, spyware, etc.

I'm calling it the *&^$&* Virus. LOL

Actually, I think I know how I got it but what I know I don't think will help. Let me explain.

Through the course of an average day for me I may visit several hundred websites, reading and researching etc. My computer at the time was "protected" (NOT) by McAfee.

I landed on a website as the result of clicking on a link from a Google Alert - something I do on a regular basis. I was reading an article on that page and after a few minutes, my McAfee "protection" began sounding more like a General Quarters drill on board a U.S. Navy ship. It was stopping Trojans, spyware, viruses, etc.

In my haste to do something, I closed out the page and didn't return and forgot to write down the site information.

It is my guess that the site owners didn't create this situation intentionally but someone probably hijacked the site and infected it this way.

I wish I could offer more specific information about the site.

From what I understand from the "techies", McAfee wasn't able to stop all from the onslaught and because of terrible security issues with Internet Explorer 7, the virus went to work immediately.

I also had a virus issue - related - within an Alexa toolbar I had installed on IE. I really could not find out if this happened because of a poor design with the toolbar or that's just where the virus attached itself.

I have used FireFox for several years now and the only reason I may go to IE is because there are some software that operate only with IE.
