I am on the road today so blogging will be light but I wanted to post this announcement before I go. Do to usual abuse, spamming, etc., I have decided that it was time to restrict access to the comments section. It has gotten to the point where at least half of all comments and pingbacks are spam oriented and has gotten to the point where I believe it is detracting from my work.
Therefore, I have closed all comments to only those who have registered and been approved. If you would like to continue being a part of this community, you will need to register and then wait for me to personally approve your registration. Once that is complete and you have been approved, you will need to log in before you can post comments.
I’m sorry if that creates an inconvenience for some of you. You should also know that I have deleted many users, most of which are registered spammers. I may have inadvertently deleted your user registration. If I did, I apologize and you’ll have to re-register.
It is not my intention to censor anybody from discussions but this will help to filter out the ridiculous and provide me with a better opportunity to control the quality of the site. I knew that this day would come at some point and I guess it has arrived.
