I will never understand the mentality that preventing lawful citizens from owning guns somehow stops crime. All it does is help people to commit crimes because then they know that the person they are about to harm cannot protect themselves. Hopefully McCain realizes this, but I do tend to have the same fears about it as you do. I'm also afraid that the Supreme Court is going to be very "soft" on the issue. I think they will side with Heller, but then make the "reasonable control" statement right along with it. That was an excellent article.
