		<description>Well Tom, this scenario looks pretty familiar.  The powers that be inevitably creating what they say they are trying to avoid.  I live in California, and since the late 40&#039;s I&#039;ve seen our forests turn from pretty virgin forests to pretty much desert.  The Migratory Deer herds are a shambles and the Cougar and Black Bear populations are bursting at the seams.  All the animals are hungry.  The forests have been ruined along with several different years of drought, the human population exploding, along with the inevitable development that follows.  California is really in the same boat as Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania.  They just haven&#039;t admitted it yet.

From my perspective, Dr. DeVito is right on the money.  Plant life sustains all other life forms and if we don&#039;t take care of the Forests and other forms of plant life we&#039;re being foolish.  Anyone who doesn&#039;t understand should look at California&#039;s Giant Sequoia&#039;s.  Afterall, it all starts right at the Forest floor.</description>
