A Vermont couple aren’t too happy with the reactions of their son’s fourth grade teacher who acted more like a second grade student when it came to hearing the conversation between two boys about turkey hunting.

“Jared’s teacher covered her ears, trying to block the conversation, and singing ‘la la la la.’ When asked by another school employee about her odd behavior, the teacher claimed she did not want to hear about the boys and their ‘killing.’ The boys were left feeling that they were not legitimate hunters, but ‘killers’ in the eyes of an important authority figure in their lives,” Bordwell said.

How old is this woman? Maybe this let’s us know she’s not out of second grade yet.

“The confrontation ended with Ms. Backus demanding that Marty leave the classroom, screeching, ‘I went hiking this weekend and saw a moose and a bear, and I will never tell you where they are because you might kill them,” Bordwell said.

There’s nothing wrong with our education system.

Another telltale indication of our education system shows when the principle for all intent and purposes pissed the whole event away by saying it was no big deal and that the most important thing is that the teacher cares for the kids and THEY have the best interest of the student at heart. BARF!

You guys better lay off the lalas, cause that was my momma’s name…and she was not gun-shy one bit. I think that poor woman was just asking for my mamma’s help, and she would have straightened her out for sure. Now, my momma knew the value of gun and tackle, and she would clean em all, til the day came she tried to clean a 50lb. red with a garden hoe..that was the end of her cleaning days..
Most of these folks today are gun-shy for sure..and just like my ole best bird dog, who was gun-shy to begin with, you just give ‘em some gentle, good conditioning, and they’ll come around.. So each and every one of you take one of those gun-shyers out, shooting or hunting, and get em accustomed to those loud noises, and they’ll get over it! Just say the future is in our hands, and we better get out there and get em over it! And keep at it, cause it ain’t easy! By the way, give em some venison or birds (already cleaned) and maybe some fish or somethin to see the fruits of our labors…We gotta win em one way or another!_

Pathetic. I see more every day how fortunate I was to have grown up in an area where many of my teachers would ask about how I did after I’d missed a week of school to go hunting. And they never covered their ears and began la-la-la-la-ing me. Some real boneheads out there working in the business of warping young minds – that’s sad.

Yep, these public schools have been dumbing us all down for many many years, and now the change they want for their planned future is evident right before our very eyes, Natural Rights, True Liberty and Independent free thought are being discarded, in fact were a long while ago. Our system stopped teaching people to seek truths and demand justice, vigilance, and the understanding that we are responsible for our freedom and liberty, not a government gone wrong on us.

830 pages of letters to the editor from the populance in the 13 Colonies regarding personal Liberty, gun onwership, hunting, and the creation of the Federal Agency in which they were very vocal in it not ending up what we have today. We are back where we started but worse. They new it was gonna try to get awy from the people, and it did.

Time to home school the young and stop this indoctrination, which is the theft of our young minds, nothing less folks, its theft.

Mr. Sorenson, you caught my attention
with the comment about teachers ask-
ing about the hunt. True, in fact, to
the point of the teacher gleaning
faces to tell– who did and who did
not have success. Seems simple
enough but other things are present
here other than the hunt. The Hunt is
also another whole entity in itself.

While I think it is the sole respon-
sability of the parent to set all
boundaries for child-rearing, it is
also their responsability to be abreast of the child’s education.

In this case, the principal seems to not be too bothered about it all,
saying, it’s not a huge issue and we
will reach a reasonable understanding
for those involved. That statement
alone, should ‘throw-up’ red flags
everywhere. Jared ‘is’ a good kid.
His teacher is failing.
