History is showing us we forgot what
we were doing. For some reason, some-
one wants to tell someone else what to, how to, where and when to do any-
thing, to the point of causing change
to someone's lifestyle.

Friends that have undergone some form
of property confiscation over the
years, were forced to change how they
make a living on their own property.

If I own a wood-lot for harvesting,
as my property, my livelyhood and well being, anything that threatens
that, should be removed. Property
that no one person but myself owns.
Property that will sustain me and
mine. Providing you think I should
or not, is an opinion not a law.

There is too little said for what is
or isn't being taught to our child-
ren. The greatest history lesson of
all time, alone, would do. We have
forgotten too many things about our-
selves and out fight to get here.
Some uninformed comments will get the juices going but our kids need to know the reasons for having est-
ablished this Nation. Let's bring
them up to speed.

The Madison link has thought for the
owner of property I would hope all
understand.

It is great stuff. Best of reading,
anywhere.

The way I see it, there are a lot of
opinions about opinions while nothing
is based on, first of all, decency,
and second, a man's right to his
property. What thinking has taken
place that we can tell someone how to
live? Opinion. And you Know what
opinions are like.....

Jes - Think you might be missing a couple things in this debate. One is nothing that is being discussed in North Dakota about ranch hunting pertains to anyone capturing wild game animals and charging people to come shoot them This is against the law. The animals in question are domestic animals bought and paid for.

The second is is at what point do we draw a line and say, "From this moment on, we will no long allow for the domestication of any MORE wild critters?"

Many if not all, of the animals we have domesticated for food or sale, were once wild weren't they?

Tom, I couldn't agree with you more! Freedom! May we always know the love of it and the blessings of it! And may our future generations bask in it's God given benifits! And may all who live in it, know the self-responsibility that we must practice and teach, in order to keep that which is most precious!

I think many more people today have grown up in a crowded world, than have done so in the past, and thusly, they have grown accustomed to so little freedom, and so much authority, and so many cramped quarters, by living so close to each other, that they have all but forgotten the feeling of living free! Their concerns to simply exist, and provide for their families are outweighing their need for an existance any better than what they are accustomed to. The don't even realize what they are missing, unless they awaken an inner spirit that knows what is good, and what is God's awakening....I truly hope that the freedoms God has given man, don't get squashed out of him, by the pressures of living in a government that has forgotten it's origins and it's God, but every day we hear of more and more insanities and hurts being inflicted by those who live under the thumb of a restrictive way of life.

Our property gives us the means of that freedom and is critical to our rights of freedom in this country. Without it, there is no room to breath, no room to breath free! We go back to the rats in a crowded cage, where we have to bite each other in order to survive! And that is one miserable life, indeed, at least to me!

Now, in terms of livestock and fencing, I am an old cowboy, and like free range! And no fences! But the old way is gone, when it comes to fencing, and now we have property rights in question...I believe, and that's just my opinion, that wildlife is wild life..and deserves to stay that way! Livestock is domestic, and elk, and deer, and any other game or wildlife, is not domestic...yet! Neither are buffalo, pronghorns and the like...So where along the way, have we allowed anyone to imprison the wild critters that deserve to be free?

In the first place, most every state has law which prevents anyone penning wildlife, but we have gotten away from the reason of that principal. They were looked at as being free wildlife....for all to enjoy, and hunt, and then they became protected by people like you and I who knew that unless they had protection, they would not survive. And as protected species, no one had exclusive rights to take them as their own.

Well, somewhere along the way, somebody got away with pen raising elk and deer..and have continued to, to this day. I'm sure there are some good reasons for it, including good meat and good income, but in my opinion, they got away with something which never should have been allowed it the first place! Why should have there been any exceptions to wildlife being free! Might as well pen off all the deer and bear and elk and claim them as your own if they're on your property! And butcher them for your own profit, whenever you feel like it.

If you got to have laws, let them be few, and let them be just, and let all abide by what we decide, as a democratically governed republic! And let the "exceptions" to the laws, stand the test: by the people, for the people, and of the people
