Not to pick on Obama – oh heck! Why not? – But really, he is no different than any other blood sucking, slime ball politician trying to have things both ways in order to lie, cheat and steal their way into office.
Obama said on more than one occasion that he believed the District of Columbia’s gun ban was constitutional. Then just prior to the Supreme Court ruling in District of Columbia vs. Heller, Obama changed his mind.
In an article by Jacob Sullum in Townhall, he lays out how it all went down.
Last November, by contrast, Obama’s campaign told the Chicago Tribune “Obama believes the D.C. handgun law is constitutional.” The candidate was so upset about that misrepresentation of his views that he sought to correct it — seven months later. A few hours before the Supreme Court pronounced the D.C. gun ban unconstitutional, an Obama spokesman told “ABC News” his campaign’s November statement to the contrary “was obviously an inartful attempt to explain the senator’s consistent position.”
The lesson, for those who haven’t caught on yet, is to never listen to campaign rhetoric as it is all lies. Follow their past and voting records to gain a better understanding of their true positions on issues.
