Maine Fish and Wildlife used this trap to catch this beaver alive and transport it to a new home. The beaver was making a dam in front of a small bridge, this in turn will raise the water level and wash out the road and make it impassable. Sometimes the beaver come back and start work on his dam again. That means it will be trapped once more and have a longer ride to a new work location for him or her. – Milt Inman
