History was made last night as the Tampa Bay Rays clinched a playoff spot in the American League pennant race. I was there! Great time! Lot’s of celebrating!

The Phillies Pushed back the Marlins. Looks like they know how to handle the sunshine state. Finish up the season at home! put the Mets away. Who knows Tom, might see you at he end

That would be sweet! Then maybe I can call in my favor that is owed me by Dickie Noles. I haven’t heard from him in quite some time but he owes me tickets (like I’d get playoff tickets). It’s been so long, I’m not sure he is still with the Phillies!

I was expecting such a comment from you. Actually, the fans were great. They were well behaved and came to see the Rays clinch, which didn’t seem to involve a whole lot of beer drinking.

OK Tom, Were getting closer to that Big Game! I sure hope we can make it!

Pat Burrell hit a three-run homer in the eighth and the NL East-leading Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves 6-2 Monday night for their 10th win in 11 games.

The Phillies reduced their magic number for clinching their second straight division title to four after the New York Mets lost 9-5 to the Cubs to fall 2 1/2 games back. Philadelphia’s magic number for clinching a playoff berth is three.
