I wasn’t going to do this but I just can’t help myself.

If John McCain and Barack Obama were in 2nd grade, they both would have been given a failing grade for not following directions. But intelligent life forms have come to realize that politicians never follow directions. They feel entitled to do as they please and show the world how really stupid and arrogant they are.

Even when Tom Brokaw explicitly asked for a yes or no answer neither man attempted to do as requested and at times jumped up and down insisting on getting their way. Where I came from, that would have been a trip to the woodshed to get your “attitude adjustment”.

Aside from that, what I came away from last night’s debate with, other than a headache from fighting to stay awake, was a reassurance that we are in serious trouble. Neither candidate has a clue. Neither candidate can articulate plans, present ideas in any form other than talking points they have spouted off about for the past 600 years and they still don’t get the fact that people are angry as hell. I’m convinced they are both clueless. This is a case of the blind leading the blind.

I’m not blind and I refuse to listen to either one of these guys. I said from before, I will not support anyone who voted for this bailout. John McCain wants to take another $300 billion of your money and make the bailout…er, I mean “rescue” plan oh sooooooooooo much better. Let’s have another half-million dollar sex and drug junket, only this time let’s take it outside the U.S. where everything else we do has gone.

There is perhaps one person in this campaign that might have a clue. Her name is Sarah Palin but I know so little about her that it is difficult to say for sure. The biggest hope is that I don’t think Sarah Palin grew up with a silver spoon. I honestly believe she hasn’t forgotten what it’s like to figure out which bills to pay and which ones to let go this month.

Trying to put it in terms I can understand, $700 billion would buy me a lot of bubble gum.

My friends (puke), I just don’t know what else to say. Contrary to what I heard last night, neither candidate does know how to get the job done.
