This is a quote from news reporter Julie Chen of CBS: “This is so unfair. I mean, look, the system is set up the way it’s set up ………….. and that’s it. Leave her alone, everyone.”
And who do you think she might be talking about? Gov. Sarah Palin who was laughed at, ridiculed, vetted to the extreme, asked to step down as John McCain’s running mate because she was inexperienced? No! You know better than that!
Julie Chen was pleading with people to leave poor Caroline Kennedy alone because people dared ask why she was qualified to be a U.S. Senator. Her best qualification or disqualification is that she’s a Kennedy.
Yeah, let’s shatter that glass ceiling once and for all! But what we learned with Gov. Palin is that if you don’t fit the liberal mold the left demands, you’re pond scum. Let’s go burn her church down. Evidently Ms. Kennedy (she doesn’t use her middle name) fits that mold, although yesterday she publicly announced that she was interested in filling Sen. Hillary Clinton’s soon to be vacated New York senate seat and refused to answer any questions from the press. Someone isn’t shielding her from the press are they? Oh, that would be unthinkable.
Hmmmm! Maybe she was advised by President elect Obama. She’s not politically savvy enough yet to cut off reporters mid-question and tell them they are wasting their questions, so she just refuses to answer any questions.
But we should all hang in there and sing a little Kumbaya because we asked for change. Well, we’re getting it. BTW – Obama said he talked with New York Gov. Patterson about Kennedy taking Hillary Clinton’s seat but he didn’t talk to Rod Blagojevitch about who is going to fill his own seat left vacant in Illinois. Maybe Barry O. had a hard time tracking Blago down being so busy with his illegal gambling operation he ran for years.
I believe Obama didn’t talk to Blago. He’s the “One”, the one who promised transparency, honesty and decency to be restored to the presidency. He must be just trying to weed them all out. Kum-ba – ya my lord…..kumbaya!
