This is my first Wyoming Bobcat this season caught in a snare. Notice how he blends in with the rock. Great camouflage.
I have been trapping for a lot of years here in Wyoming. We have a good bobcat population and no quota, so your chances of making some money at it are good if you can put in the time.
I’m an outfitter by trade for Deer, Elk, Bear and Lion but trapping is my passion. Our season runs from Nov.15th to March 1st, giving you plenty of time to be successful.
This particular cat in the photo was running a narrow trail where two rivers join against a rock cliff. I set a snare where the river runs within a couple feet of the cliff and had him the next morning. A good mature Tom.
