*Update* The video appears to come and go as it damn well pleases. Man am I glad I don’t pay for this crap!

I’ve been having great difficulty getting this new video to post. If you could, offer me some feedback on the video and audio quality your are getting from this UStream video. I also intend to upload this to Mogulus and make it available through “On Demand” library viewing. If you can see your way to click on the “Skinny Moose TV” link above, then click on the “On Demand” tab on the player. Search the library for the “Open Air – Dec. 30, 2008″ show and compare qualities. I’m trying to find out where the quality loss is coming from. Thanks.

Good quality picture, and the sound was synched….but it would stop and go so often, that it ruined the presentation…But now, after 3.5 min….everything is fine! Weird!
Just wondered if it takes some time to “warm up” to my computer…I’ve noticed that even Youtube takes a couple of seconds to “settle in”…My DSL is not the fastest available, but it usually picks up videos without any problems…
Guess I’ll have to watch the Gator game on the 8th…
It’s now 17min. into it, and everything is still going perfectly…
I think it just takes a longer time to “load”….but over 3min. is wayyyyy too long….
Good show, Tom, I enjoyed the morning visit….watched and listened after breakfast, while I checked correspondence…you have more sense than most of the commentators on the air!

Tried choosing a “clip” to play and only one came up….no choice, no dates, etc, and they were also “stickey” between running and not running…

This whole video thing is far from perfect and needs tons of work. I don’t know what’s up with the “settling in” thing. I run into that too even with a 20MB per sec download speed.

Personally, I find videos run better using FireFox as a browser instead of Internet Explorer. Also, I’ve been told before watching a video, take a couple seconds and clean out your cache.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m going to try a few more things with the Mogulus recording in the next session.

And finally, you won’t find the video of this broadcast in Mogulus because the file is too big and I can’t get it moved. There are still tons of issues with Adobe Flash Player as well.

I hope they, both UStream and Mogulus, get the bugs worked out pretty soon.

I started using Firefox again, about six months ago, and it is much faster on videos as well as overall….better security as well. I’ve got several automatic features that clean up space as well as doing it myself. I also like the automatic spell check on Firefox, especially when blogging… (my spelling is terrible.)
