While at the recent Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, I met and talked with Kelton Kennedy. Kelton was manning the ACR Electronics booth. ACR Electronics specializes in personal location devices. In other words, if you have one of their devices with you and turned on so it is emitting a beacon, you will be found. I was told that typically one of the units I have in my hand in the photo below, has a battery life of about 40 hours in the field.
I believe the unit I am holding in my hand is a MicroFix and also comes with GPS capabilities.
