The kid, president Barack Obama, reminds me of a kid the first time he or she discovers how to skip a stone across the calm waters of the lake. Obama has discovered that he gets reactions when he speaks much like the results of a skipping stone. People are in love, enamored, blinded, glued to his every word and he’s found out there are cool reactions when he says things.
Like the skipping stone that is fun to watch, as a kid you don’t fully grasp all the results of your actions.
I hope he grows up pretty soon and learns there are consequences for using the words crisis and catastrophe, government intervention and bailout, nationalization and raising taxes.
Hang on!
