I’m an avid elk & mulie etc hunter, and wolves are OK. Elk as we know them were shaped by the predator-prey dance of hundreds of thousands of years of coevolution with wolves. As the God of the Old Testament says when creating the world, “It’s all good.”

Montana has a good management plan, populations is self-sustaining, and wolves should be de-listed here. Idaho’s plan is so-so, but most biologists think it’s good enough. Wyoming’s plan? “See wolf, shoot wolf.” That dog won’t hunt. Currently, it looks like the Feds will go ahead with de-listing in MT and ID, and let WY twist in the wind for awhile.
