Today, Secretary of Interior Salazar will announce that gray wolves in Idaho and Montana will be removed from protection of the Federal Endangered Species Act. Once the Final Rule is published, the wolf will be officially delisting 30 days thereafter.

Here we go again! Taxpayers open your pocket books further. The lawsuits will begin.

Sec. Salazar announced that wolves in the Northern Rocky Mountains DPS (excluding Wyoming) and the Western Great Lakes DPS will be removed from federal protection. Salazar stated that Wyoming’s wolf population would remain protected “because its law and management plans are not strong enough.”
