You Can Grade President Barack Obama

Did I hear President Obama right? Yesterday at the Summit of nations. Did he say we were not a nation of Christians? Or of Muslims or this or that. But a nation of citizens.

I could not believe my ears. When the leader of our country openly states that we do not as a people practice Christianity!
Then this public denial of God has doomed them all.
This guy is acting like a modern day Nebuchadnezzar. He openly denied (his professed) Christian faith to suck up to the world.

I am ashamed, and am praying to God to forgive us. I am also outraged! This man assumes too much.

Consider the words of Ben Franklin given at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 :

” In the beginning of the contest with Britain, when we were sensible of danger, we had Daily prayers for Divine protection. Our prayers, Sir, were heard, and they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of superintending Providence in our favor. And have we now forgotten this powerful friend? This from a man who was unsure if his own devotion but had sense enough to at least consider, given the facts and from observation. Oh how far from the truth we have traveled! Can you guess how I’m voting?

But this is the time we’re in. We are in a time when Satan is flourishing in this nation. God has stepped back. And I really believe he is Satan’s man, he’s the man who fits the time. There are many Antichrists in the world, and this is one, who feigns a faith in Jesus Christ that is not real. Who appears as a peacemaker, who appears as a great leader who can win the confidence of people, but underneath is a deceiver. This is an Antichrist type person. We can only pray that his rejection of the true gospel is not so far gone that grace is no longer available. Pray diligently, folks, for the conversion and salvation of this man, and those around him. My heart grieves for him deeply.

Father, thank you for Your Word and giving Your Word to us.
These are shocking times, times of grave disappointment to us, who had hoped better things for our children and our grandchildren and ourselves.
Who had hoped that all this Christian witness, all this Christian proclamation, all the books and tapes and radio and television and all of this would have had some effect.
And yet we can sense that You have just turned this nation over. Now this is not eschatological judgment, this is not eternal judgment yet, so this is still an opportunity for us against the blackness of this hour to be people of the light, people of the truth.
Help us to speak truth, in love, with grace in the midst of this lying world, and thereby demonstrate that we have been transformed from children of the devil to children of God, that no longer does sin have dominion over us so that we are helpless deceivers.
That dominion has been broken by the mighty power of Christ, and we can now speak the truth. Raise us up as a great generation of people of the truth to bring the message, God’s message, the message of salvation to this deceived and deceiving world.
We thank you for that privilege. In Christ’s name, Amen.
