Very interesting photo – historic and interesting architecture.

I do enjoy Milt’s Corner; variety and lots of different subjects.

Thanks for the compliment, Lee. Milt would probably respond but I’ve tried a few times to get him to come here and comment back but he’s “uncomfortable” with doing this sort of thing. I know he reads the comments.
This particular picture I liked a lot. I had to get him to resend it a couple times so it was a bit bigger and so I could read the writing better. I tried to get a little more information on this but didn’t have a lot of luck.
Evidently a stamp mill is used in mining and I think it was used quite a bit in mining gold and silver, etc., although I don’t know much about the process or anything.
This was located near where I grew up but I fail to recognize where it actually was. When I go back this summer to camp, I’ll look around and see if I can get any photos of the now.

Tom,
I couldn’t find much on the mine. This is the best:
Topo map and brief description of Crocker Hill, Maine:
That’s cool! I know exactly where that is. Milt spent many years growing up working in the feldspar mines in this same area. Even today he has a persistent cough but is checked regularly.

Tom, I really liked the snow rollers photo, too. I showed it to my cousin who remembered seeing them once on their farm near Weiser, Idaho.
