I was just reading last night in a book that said that it was far worse to have to deal with people who have been misled than those who are uninformed. Such is the case concerning the Humane Society of the United States.
The media is very powerful and when you have it on your side misleading the masses is as easy as giving candy to a baby. The HSUS learned this a long time ago and that’s why they have over $200 million dollars of your money sitting in their bank account, are able to pay huge salaries within their organization and cough up untold numbers of dollars to become one of the most powerful lobbying efforts in the country, while spending comparatively little or nothing for animal welfare.
The problem is they lie about what they do in order to collect the money. It appears they are good enough at it to fool Rush Limbaugh. He recently agreed to do a couple of public service announcements for them. He has been challenged by sportsmen groups and others to stop his support for a fascist organization that lies, cheats and steals. We’ve heard nothing from Limbaugh.
However, it appears at least one ABC affiliate in Atlanta, Georgia decided to do some real journalistic investigating into HSUS’s practices. Here’s the video of what they discovered.
If you want to support animal welfare, give to your local animal humane society and not to HSUS.
