It appears that Politico finds it interesting and somehow more acceptable that President Barack Hussein Obama (I use his middle name now that he has found renewed pride in having a Muslim middle name) drops the name of Jesus Christ far more than former President George W. Bush did while holding office.

Using the name of Jesus Christ means nothing, especially coming from a politician in today’s society, a group of selfish, narcissistic, ego maniacs who would do anything, including pimping their mothers, for a vote. Need we forget that comedian Bill Cosby told us that he was 12 years old before he realized his name wasn’t Jesus Christ. (For those who don’t get it, Cosby’s father yelled and swore at him a lot beginning many of his tirades with “Jesus Christ will you….”.

When George W. Bush spoke in any fashion about Jesus Christ, his faith, church, etc. within our society it more times than not created outrage among the people. When Obama invokes the name Jesus Christ, some might even think he is talking about himself.

The difference is simple really but it’s a difference that it appears Politico is either afraid of making or simply doesn’t see it. You see both Bush and Obama claim to be Christians as do the overwhelming majority of Americans today. What scares a lot of those Americans about George W. Bush is his claim of being a born again Christian. Obama talks of his Christianity and how he found Christ, etc. but I’ve never heard him proclaim that he is born again.

I’m not here to judge whether either man, Bush or Obama, is a Christian a Muslim or a Jew. I don’t know. But Americans find very little to fear in Barack Obama’s use of Jesus Christ or any such reference because many of the policies that Obama supports and actively promotes from his position of president of the most powerful nation on earth, run quite contrary to the Bible teachings that drive those who claim to be born again Christians.

Even the Bible warns us that many will speak of Jesus Christ and make many claims about Him but we should not be deceived. Am I telling you that Obama is a deceiver when it comes to Christianity? You’ll have to be the judge of that. What we shouldn’t do however is confuse the issue of Christianity as being the exact same things as being a born again Christian. I may have never attended a church before and my personal experience runs only so far as to believe there must be a God, yet I could still feel free to call myself a Christian and that doesn’t necessarily make me a born again Christian.

There are many churches and religious faiths and organizations that say they are Christian but not all members of these groups are born again. Just because Barack Obama is willing to easily name drop Jesus Christ is not the measure anyone should be using to determine what lies in his heart. Only God knows that.
