Introduced by Rep. Marlene O’Toole, HB-21 would create the Florida Firearms Freedom Act.

Regulation of Firearms: Creates Florida Firearms Freedom Act; provides legislative findings & definitions; provides that specified firearms, firearm accessories, & ammunition for personal use manufactured in state are not subject to federal law or regulation; provides that importation into state of specified parts & incorporation of such parts into firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition manufactured in state does not subject firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition to federal regulation; provides that certain basic materials are not subject to federal regulation of firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition under interstate commerce; provides that specified firearm accessories imported into state from another state do not subject firearm to federal regulation under interstate commerce; provides legislative findings with respect thereto; provides exceptions; provides applicability; requires that firearms manufactured & sold in state must bear indicia of manufacture by specified date.

Being from Florida, I’d like to see this go through…and it makes me wonder if any of the other states have passed this legislation yet….I remember hearing of them working on it, but don’t recollect any having been passed…this will throw an ox into the federal applecart !

I firmly believe in states rights as including anything not specified by the constitution, but in matters of guaranteeing the rights drawn forth in the constitution, then I am a firm believer in the powers of the federal government….call that what you will!

The Colonies already had Constitutions which still exist today and were used to create the National Constitution which the Federal government has violated continually…Once the 1787-1792 Congressional Debates concerning The Bill Of Rights were agreed upon, and specifically they debated the Second Amendment more than the rest.. ( It was the STATES who demanded the Right To bear Arms, It was never the FEDERALISTS) by those members representing those 13 Colonies then those States and States joining the Union since that time included those Rights into their state Constitutions…The federal Government has a 150 year history of proving they can not be trusted with our Rights…Pretense is not protection..

Montana was the first to pass such a law. I have word from legislators that they plan to introduce more clones in WV, VA, GA, MO, KS, OK, AZ, CO, WY, UT, ID and WA (and maybe some places I haven’t heard about).

I’m very disappointed in the Idaho Legislators for dragging their feet on this one..Corn addiction is very tough to break..
