		<description>Actually, these cases could be taken to court, through civil action, if enough was made of it....The Florida database for driver licenses is now requiring your SS card, not just the number, and/or a birth certificate. The Florida hunting licenses are now requiring either your SS#, a driver&#039;s license #, or a &quot;customer #&quot;, which is indicating the number of your past license...
To me, the use of SS has gone way beyond the intention of the SS Bureau, who often state on their brochures, that no agency BUT the SS Bureau has any authorization to ask you for it. But the fact remains, it is becoming more and more a &quot;personal identity&quot; number, even though almost anyone can get one falsely... 
With modern computers, there is no problem to tracking almost anyone and their activities, and we&#039;re one step close to George Orwell&#039;s &quot;1984&quot;, and BIG BROTHER....but that&#039;s just the way it is...</description>
