Contrary to what candidate Obama said about how our mere presence in Iraq and Afghanistan made for hostile conditions, his promise to end the war and bring the troops home has resulted in the opposite. Military leaders in Afghanistan say they need more help.
What will President Obama do? As we asked over and over during the Bush years, “What’s the plan to win this war and get our troops home?” If our troops don’t have the means to fight and win then we are faced with two choices – cut and run or fight to win.
