Not that I've hunted them, but that sounds like coyote hunting...and I imagine wolves are not any smarter than coyotes, since coyotes are about as smart as you can get... Not that I would mind a pelt hanging in my home, but the bugs down here in Florida are so "dedicated" to eating their own way through fur, that I have no mounts at all, just skulls and horns....That's because I'm one of the few that lives without air-conditioning, except for a back room that gets too hot in the afternoon during summertime, to stay in...and usually that's just used for company that ain't used to Florida cracker living... I would hope and even pray, that this goes off smoothly...for, even though I appreciate all of God's creations, the wolf included, I have little use for critters that have crowded the rest of us out...and the wolf has reached that equation limit...And it's time to solve that equation, and even the score....and give them a healthy dose of "comeuppance"... Tying a horse and mule up and walking off about 100 yards and setting up works the best though.. I like tree patches surrounded by open meadow..Their not as smart as some might think then...I've even had them walk right in while I'm sitting on a pack box 20 feet my stock...Especially since elk are so thinned down to nothing, a horse and mule is real damn interesting to these vermin..
