
The coyote shown in the picture above, was struck by a couple driving on Interstate 80 near the Utah/Nevada border. Traveling at an estimated speed of 75 mph, the driver struck the coyote and didn’t bother stopping because he said he thought it was bad, that the coyote had been killed and that it was pointless to stop.
He continued on, traveling another 8-10 hours and upon reaching his destination, discovered the coyote had been lodged in his grill and what appears to be all the way through to the engine.
Aside from a few scrapes on one paw, the coyote was fine. He was taken to a rehabilitation center and escaped. Like a coyote like this was going to stick around some prison for animals.
Yep! Coyotes are a highly adaptable animal, that’s for sure and in this case well dispersed after the event.
