The Washington Post and others are reporting that the lead guy at the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in Hadley, United Kingdom, Phil Jones, will temporarily step down so that the University can investigate………itself.

Meanwhile a UK Economist says that those who think the hacked emails show any wrong doing are “confused”. From U.S. News and World Reports:

Nicholas Stern, who wrote a British government report on global warming, said hackers who posted documents snatched from the climate research unit at the University of East Anglia had muddled the debate at a critical moment……………

“It (the incident) has created confusion and confusion never helps scientific discussions,” Stern told reporters in London…………….

“We have a moment now when we could get a strategy agreed,” he said. “If it were to dissolve in disarray it would not be easy to put this momentum back together again.”………….

“People have a right to speak up but if they are muddled and confused I do not believe they have the right to be called anything other than muddled and confused,” he said. “The degree of skepticism (on climate change) among real scientists is very small.”

Science means always questioning and sorting through facts, answering questions, proving or disproving alternate theories. It’s all about debate and research. We see here that this is unacceptable and that we should disregard this sort of thing in order that “we could get a strategy agreed”. Say what? Is it more important to agree to a strategy that is based on lies and fraud or to expose the lies and fraud and work toward reestablishing legitimate scientific research?

But we mustn’t lose the focus of the global warming alarmists who are still pumping the media and the public with lies about their supposed settled scientific theories. Sterns says if we don’t reach any agreements in Copenhagen, “world temperatures could rise by five degrees Celsius (nine degrees Fahrenheit) by the end of the century, making much of the world uninhabitable.” Do people not see how insane this is? This has to stop! NOW!

Stern’s idea of “real scientists” comprise somewhere around 2,500 who have based their positions of what we now know to be fudged data, while at the same time there are somewhere in the ballpark of 30,000 other scientists, evidently not real ones, who have signed on saying they are skeptical. That must make them confused as well.

Fox News reports that Climategate is making the scientific process “more difficult”. And well it should. Everything indicates a concerted effort to hide information, fudge the data available, alienate anyone who disagreed with the theory and demonize anyone who dared speak up or ask questions. What kind of science is this and should we be eager to spend trillions of dollars of our money to stop something that we now know doesn’t exist?

James M. Taylor, senior fellow in environment policy at The Heartland Institute, says that he can’t believe how “appallingly corrupted”, the scientific process has become and refers to the “lost” data that CRU is now saying it destroyed to “make room”.

Think about this for just one moment. Here we have years and years of data collected that supposedly reveals to the world global warming. This warming is being presented to us as an “end of the world” scenario and these bozos destroyed it all to make room? I don’t think so.

Hacked emails and documents reveal a conspiratorial effort to cover up and fudge data. We are now to believe what? That the janitor tossed all the collected data to make room for a new coffee shop or something?

Any scientist or scientific institute that would destroy that kind of data is nobody the world should be taking as serious scientists to begin with. And the University of East Anglia calls itself reputable? No, sorry! This is just more proof of blatant destruction of files and data so that nobody could use the same information they had collected to prove them corrupt and criminal.

As more and more respected scientists and leaders in our scientific community speak out about the reprehensible actions of Phil Jones and CRU, most of the Media remain silent, continuing to publish the same tired and worn out talking points about doom and gloom and the evils of man-made global warming.
