There was one screen to his right and one to his left. I believe the reason for lack of all that you describe is because he does not believe in what he is saying. I think this is a case of him saying one thing from day one, i.e. his opposition to the war, etc. and then once becoming President and having access to intelligence (and all those other things we don't know about) he knew he has no choice. If he had it memorized, I am truly impressed, but I still wonder...I saw no notes, no teleprompter, and his eyes kept going from one side of the audience to another... two: is how could someone who is so talented in speaking, (at least in presenting a speech) give such an unemotional, and uninspiring performance? There was no "heart" in the speech, no soul, no inspiration, no laughter, no joy, and I began to wonder if there is none in the man as well...
