Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, a Nigerian member of Al Qaida, tried unsuccessfully to blow up himself along with all the passengers of a Delta Airlines flight from Amsterdam. Fortunately, he couldn’t pull it off.

But what I find interesting about this case is that the White House was very quick to call it an act of “terror”. So let’s get this straight. Previously, we had a man, a member of the United States military, who we now know was interested for a long time in killing Americans in the name of Allah. We also know he successfully entered a space at Fort Hood and murdered a bunch of people and injured many more.

According to the White House, this was NOT an act of “terror” but that of a deranged man. So what’s the difference between the two acts that Obama calls one an act of terror and the other not?

It would appear to me that it’s a simple matter of one was a successful attempt and the other wasn’t. Is that the criteria needed to make that determination under the Obama White House? If an act of terror makes the United States and this administration look inept, then it is an isolated act of a sick person. If the act of terror fails, as this guy only managed to burn himself and a couple nearby passengers, then it is terror?

It really doesn’t matter what it’s called does it. We know Obama is terrified of using the word terror. His ilk prefer to call it a man-made disaster, or some silliness. The truth is what happened happened and both incidents happened for the same reason but this administration and our media has jumped all over “terrorism”, this time around.

My guess is that with the White House being quick to label this Detroit act as terrorism, they probably plan on blaming George W. Bush for it. The real failure seems to be that this guy who tried to blow people up was on a U.S. terror watch list and one report described it as being on a list but he was not “worthy” of making the “do not fly” list. Oooops! Failure!

President Obama promised to make the world fall in love with the U.S. again, after George W. Bush destroyed the love by attacking Al Qaida and the Taliban. I ain’t feeling the love brother! And that love is growing so much we’ve had two terrorist attacks on American soil since Obama took office. How’s that love working out Barry?

We are entering a new year in a few days and one has to wonder what it is we will have to look forward to? Who will Obama bow down to next? Who will he apologize to next? How many more terror attacks can we look forward to because of his open weakness and failure to protect American citizens. Let’s call this what it is. These have happened on his watch and he does not deserve a pass.

If Obama would spend more time doing the job he’s supposed to do and not making up words so as not to offend the scum of the earth that only wants to kill us all, maybe, just maybe both of the acts of terror would not have happened.

Our present system of security and intelligence has failed. Did not these “leaders” have an understanding that in time terrorists will figure out how to circumvent U.S. terror policies? Create devices that might not be detected? If they didn’t, that is a major failure.

Obama’s learning curve continues. He was inept and unqualified when he was elected and I don’t think he is learning fast enough that he can lead in a way to protect American citizens. Maybe if he stayed at home and worked for a change, instead of traveling, apologizing, playing golf and vacationing, he might just come to the realization that it matters not what he says and does, Islamic extremists will always want to kill him and everyone in this country.

Maybe!
